Jayson Niner

Jayson Niner is an Emmy-nominated sound effects editor and re-recording mixer based in Hollywood California. Jayson started his audio career by earning his bachelor’s degree in Music Production from the University of Texas in Austin. Shortly after graduating Jayson worked as a music studio assistant for SG studios in Forth Worth Texas before deciding to make a shift into film and television sound.

In 2020 Jayson earned a master’s of science in Film Production with a concentration in sound from DePaul University in Chicago. After working as a production sound mixer in Chicago for a time Jayson moved to Southern California to pursue post production sound for film and television. Jayson has since been working as a sound effects editor and re-recording mixer and has worked on projects such as Invincible, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Loud House, and Baby Shark’s Big Movie among many others.

While having a wide breadth of knowledge in many aspects of post production sound, Jayson particularly loves working in sound for animation, action, and fantasy. Jayson has a passion for creating worlds through sound design and helping creators give their projects a signature sonic identity.
